Sitkans for Community Outdoor Recreation Enhancement

A group of community members working to improve athletic infrastructure in Sitka. Our mission is to promote health and wellness for all ages by providing durable, usable outdoor recreation facilities. These will serve the Sitka School District, local athletic clubs, City and State agencies, and the wider community.

By upgrading existing facilities and creating new ones, we aim to ensure these resources can be used year-round, even in the harsh Southeast Alaska weather. Our current primary focus is the development of a new track and field and an upgraded women’s softball field, with a target completion date of August 1, 2028.
